How Can Product Recommendations Boost Average Order Values?

Site visitors are finding the products they’re looking for, hitting the add to cart button, and checking out.


So what’s the next step?

Boosting those order values and increasing the share of wallet your business sees per customer.

There are loads of ways to do this; bulk buys, upgrades, rewards, but personally, my favourite is personalised recommendations.

Add these recommendations to the cart page to make it quick and easy for your customers to identify complementary products, whether it’s directly related to their chosen product (ink for a printer for example), closely related (other gardening tools if they’re purchasing a hedge trimmer), or just products based off the customers previous purchase history.

Add quick view overlays to these products so the customer can see all the details and select options on the cart page, make the experience as easy as possible for the customer, and you’ll bump your AOV up nicely.
